What we're working on now.
For Gregory Ruzzin's current project "SMALL WORLD THIS (aka "Boshō Bozos") he spent a year in Japan exploring the links between climate change, cycling, and the environment. Support provided by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.
After returning from Japan, Ruzzin began editing his essay film titled “Bashõ Bozos: Cycling in the footsteps of Japan’s Walking Poet.” The film weaves together 13 short haiku films made in Tokyo, interviews with cyclists, historical footage, map animations, and “road movie” footage of Ruzzin and his 88-year-old guide and translator, Brian Johnson, cycling in the footsteps of Japan’s most famous haiku master, Matsuo Bashõ. The film uses humor and history to share Ruzzin's ongoing concern for the planet and what we can do to help heal it, |
